Expanding Sentences!

For the last two weeks, students have worked on "expanding sentences".  This theory stems from the concept of sentence modeling.  Students can easily identify what a sentence has, as well as what it needs to be complete.

An example of expanding a sentence is:
1. The dog ran.
2. The black dog ran.
3. The black dog ran very fast to his owner.

Though it will take many more weeks for students to fully understand this pattern, we will continue practicing!
